This is a short film about inter-human connections that don’t care about time or logics. It’s the story of a girl who waits her entire life for her father to come back from the sea. It’s happening in a bohemian Dutch landscape, where bicycle movements measure time. Michael Dudok de Wit is a good illustrator, and Father and Daughter brought him the Best Animation Award at Clermont Ferrand in 2001, and an Oscar for Animation in 2001.
